Maternity photography celebrates the strength of the female body and the hope of what is yet unseen. Spring is the perfect time for it, because we see the fruits of our hope manifested in nature. Emily and Jared are going to be great parents. They are compassionate and strong. Unwavering in love. The flowering spring trees in Lombard's Lilacia Park are like them... rooted and beautiful. It was the perfect place for a maternity session.
Each time I visit the Chamberlins, it feels like a homecoming. I photographed Angela and Brent's wedding and each of their three newborn babies. There is always love and a touch of chaos. They are my kind of people... real and passionate and full of compassion. P.S. The last picture is the most true to life. You're welcome Brent.
My heart swells when I think of the Garbersons. Their family is an active force of good in a world that needs it. Their new baby Edison is yet another wonderful thing they have done to make earth a bit brighter. (Sorry not sorry for the pun)
This squishy boy is perfect. He is his parent's hope rewarded. I've been incredibly blessed to photograph each of the Oprie children just days after their births and their family is so precious to me. I love you guys!
Danielle, Dustin, and baby Ellis came to visit us this weekend! They are some of our very best friends, and it was good for my heart. Spring is coming. I can feel it.
The last time I took pictures of Susanne and Josh was on their wedding day. This time, it was just hours before the new year and I was taking pictures of their growing family in their home. It was simple and so very sweet. The world is so ready to meet their little boy.
