I met Ian and Andrea when Ian was a groomsman in one of my favorite weddings of all time (see Jaime and Nate's Wedding here). They are incredible people and I cannot wait to photograph their wedding. When we planned their engagement session, I asked if they would be willing to end our time together IN the lake. They said yes, and I about died. They were so easy to take pictures of! Their love is sweet and silly and perfect.
Shane and Jessica are getting married at Henderson Castle next May. At first, when Jessica told me that they wanted to take engagement pictures at the same place as their wedding, I was scared that their wedding pictures would just look repetitive. But honestly, there are a million lovely places to photograph on the grounds and we could have kept shooting for hours. The couple gave such romantic vibes that I'm still swooning over the pictures.
Justin and Kaylee are naturals in front of the camera. After confessing that they didn't like being the center of attention or having their picture taken, they just laughed and goofed and had the best session ever! Something people don't know about me: I HATE being on the other side of the camera. So, I understand the fear. I'll do almost anything to help you feel comfortable because I get it. Thank you to Justin and Kaylee for being yourselves and trusting me. You both look AMAZING!

It had been almost 10 years since I last saw Lauren. We have grown up so much. I've had two kids and she's GETTING MARRIED. So when she and Joe asked me to be their wedding photographer, I was thrilled. Meeting Joe was a real treat. He is kind and funny and has a great smile that lights up his eyes. I couldn't imagine a better future spouse for my friend.
For their engagement session, I knew that I wanted to try Ramona Park, which is only 15 minutes from my house. It was the hottest day of the year so far, and I was a little nervous when they still wanted to shoot. But honestly, it was perfect. There was a breeze coming off the lake and plenty of shade. Since their wedding is in the middle of freezing Michigan winter, it only seems fitting that we balance that out with a hot summer engagement session.
